Become a Continuing Education Provider

The AASDN-BOC Continuing Education Provider Program is designed to provide continuing education opportunities to those certified by the AASDN-BOC certification program through a variety of sources, which support AASDN’s superior standards. The CEC Provider Program also offers promotional assistance to those who provide the educational event or resource.  Through participation in the AASDN-BOC CEC Provider Program, providers can separate their programs from the countless choices available in the nutrition and fitness industry.

Demand for CECs
AASDN Nutrition Specialists are required to obtain 15 contact hours every two years producing a demand for continuing education courses.

Market Your Organization
The AASDN-BOC CEC Provider Program is a powerful marketing tool for reaching a wide range of professionals. AASDN-BOC assists with the promotion of your organization in the listing of all approved CEC Providers that appear in the CEC Calendar on the AASDN.org website. Once your organization is approved by the AASDN-BOC, providers are eligible to use the AASDN Logo to promote your organization.

AASDN Referrals and Recognition

Nutrition Specialist credential holders seek CEC approved events/activities during each two-year period.  Receiving CEC approval from AASDN-BOC increases the stature of your organization because it signifies that your organization meets the stringent standards for continuing education.

 Provider Guidelines

The AASDN-BOC approves providers of continuing education activities, not individual courses.  Approval is granted for a 12-month period from July 1 through June 30 and covers attendance at courses offered by the provider that meets AASDN-BOC continuing education guidelines, the Professional Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice. Approval requires that there be at least one pending program for the upcoming 12-month term.
